OK, folks, I have another county-specific query. Can anyone tell me what units were raised in what became Stone County after the war? I have a historical marker request that I would like to be a bit more specific on. I do know that a number of Stone County men were in Freeman's Missouri Cavalry, and that there were Peace Society folks out of the county as well. Thanks for any assistance!
