I know that the Gerbes site indicates that the regiment was established at Little Rock on May 6, 1861, but I am under the impression that the first time the regiment was actually assembled as in Memphis. I know that the Jackson Guards of Jackson County joined the Regiment a Memphis, TN. Did Fagan's orgional election occur in Little Rock, Memphis, or in Virgina?
