Hello. I am trying to help my 82 year old uncle learn more about his grandfather, Tom Bullock.
Tom was about 16 when he joined the Union Army in Alabama. He was born on Feb. 14, 1847 and died on March 29, 1923
in Arkansas County, Arkansas.
The family said he went north and joined the Union Army, but I believe he may have been picked up by someone passing
through or else simply joined when asked to in his home area around Jefferson County, near Birmingham.
Can anyone tell me what unit he may have been in, where did they fight, and did this man every draw a pension?
I posted this in Alabama earlier and appearently, this board is actually more active.
