Ken, the order I posted came from a remarkable collection of wartime documents discovered at the turn of the last century and published in "The Publications of the Arkansas Historical Association, Volume 2" in 1908. As far as I can tell, the existence of these wartime orders of Gov. Harris was unknown to the compilers of the Official Records. Most of the orders relate directly to Trader's battalion (later Newton's regiment).

Google Books has digitized the publication, which can be downloaded either as scanned images or text.

Truly a gold mine of information unavailable anywhere else.
