Anthony, I just read George Martin's post and in addition to confirming J. J. Taylor of the 1st Arkansas Mounted Rifles being wounded at Chickaumauga, notes that his name was Jonathan J. Taylor.

So I think we're back in the running for considering John Jackson Taylor as the man in the "1st" Arkansas Cavalry. Thanks, George.
