Re: TAYLOR, J. J. Co. D, 1 Ark Cav CSA

I did find info listed that there was a J J Taylor Co D 1st Ark Cav CSA on a cemetery listing but did not say where buried.

HOWEVER, I think this is your man

J J Taylor enlisted as PVT, age 19 in 1861 in Co C 1st Ark Mtd Rifles (Johnson Rifles of Johnson County) THis unit did fight at Pea Ridge

******

Then in March of 1862 a JJ Taylor and L Taylor are listed as mustering with Co H 10th Ark Militia in Clarksville with note he joined Co D 4th Ark Cav He was listed as a 3rd LT.

*******

FInally in Co D 4th (Gordon's) Ark Cav which I believe did serve with Cabell:

TAYLOR, J.J. Cpl - Enl 31 May 1862 at Clarksville, AR. Absent sick 25 May 1863.

TAYLOR, L. Pvt - Enl 31 May 1862 at Clarksville, AR. Deserted 20 Sep 1862.

TAYLOR, P.P. Pvt - Enl 17 Sep 1862 at Sugar Creek, AR. Substitute to F.L. Joyner. Present Feb 1864.

Hope this is your man and family and it clears it up a bit.
