Bryan, thanks to you I now know where he died, Columbus, Ms. and yes, I believe you are correct on the date being 1862 instead of 1863. I also would like to find out if anyone knows how I can find out where he is buried. Were the men who died in the hospital buried at a cemetery nearby ? He is not in Arkansas, or at least I have not been able to find him in his home area. Maybe a military cemetery?
