For what it's worth, General Taylor made an agreement to surrender his forces at Citronelle, Ala. No one other than Taylor, a staff officer and two servants were on hand to represent the Confederate army. Paroles for thousands of Confederate soldiers under his command were given elsewhere at later dates. Actual dates and places will be noted on individual service records.
