Linda, thank you! Other that we know he survived all of the battles and he was surrendered with his unit at Citronele, Ala.. we do not know a lot about his war years. His first wife did run off with a yankee soldier while he was fighting. They lived in Paris, Tenn. Did you know that they celebrate the surrender every summer at Citronele.
