Thanks Dennis and George for tips....I might check besides, Cullman historical Society....Disallowed Union Pensions? I am fairly positive that he was not in Confederate Service at any time, but I believe his Service (if he had any) may have been in a Torie Guerilla Gang? I understand there were some operating in area, but as yet I have not been able to find any rosters or if the U.S. Government would have considered them as Union Veterans? I know many Irregulars, from both sides walked a fine line from being Soldiers or just criminals, many were the latter. who preyed on Everyone especially toward the End of the War.
