Hi all,

I'm looking for Civil War info on my 3rd great grandfather on my paternal side.
His name was William B. Smith, born abt. 1830, from Lowndes County, Alabama.
Alabama Confederate Pensions list him as a Private from Company A of the 17th Alabama Regiment.

If anyone owns the Thompson book, The Seventeenth Alabama Infantry: A Regimental History and Roster, could you search through the roster of Company A and see if a William B Smith or William Smith is there? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
