The Alabama in the Civil War Message Board

James Marion Reeves

I am looking for additional information for facts about my great grandfather James Marion Reeves b. Nov 1823. He left home in Clay County Alabama for service in the Civil War in October 1862 on a train. He would have been leaving from Clay CO probably Roanoke or perhaps Talledega County near Munford. He returned home after the War was over. He had a home in Roanoke Alabama and with him were all of his children he had with his first wife, Mary Ann Childers Reeves. She had died when he left for war. In 1870 he had a wife named Sarah. James Marion b. 1823 lived in the Talladega Co. near Munford where he managed a farm belonging to the Elston Family. He died of natural causes in the fall of 1883. Thanks for any help. Tommie
