I don't know if this was meant as total numbers or on a per capita basis and have seen no documentation. But, if this is true would it not be plausible to assume that Alabama would be disproportionately represented in the ANV, AOM and AOT?I know that a post War Governor of Alabama estimated that there were 122,000 Alabamaians in Confederate service.
