There are men with the name McGee who enlisted at Stockton, Alabama in Co. K of the 38th Alabama Infantry. I would not be surprised if the spelling should not be McGhee. Corporal Common F. McGee, Pvt.James L. McGhee, Pvt. Linelle (Lin or Levi)McGee and Pvt Richard McGee (no place of enlistment given but likely Stockton area). I have identified a native american named Phillips that is buried near Jackson, Alabama but don't know his tribe. It may be worthwhile to check the entire roster of the 38th. Art Green
