Here are my notes on that company:

Company "C" of Baldwin County "Baldwin Rangers"

Captain Thomas C. Barlow. Surrendered at Gainesville, Alabama, May 14, 1865.

Officers and men enrolled at Stockton, Alabama, and Blakely, Alabama, commissions dating from April 18, 1862. The original muster roll was composed on April 9, 1862. Formerly led Captain Joseph Booth, this command was stationed at Shell Banks near Fort Morgan, Alabama, during the summer of 1862. Early service records of this company are found Microcopy M311(Alabama), reel 26.

There are additional notes filed under the company name in the Baldwin County file at the ADAH. These include the following:

1) A note from Capt. Joseph Booth Jr. showing the list of officers “duly elected”, Apr. 16, 1861, Montgomery Ala.

2) A printed state commission to Origin Sibley as 1st Lt, Apr. 17, 1861, signed by Andrew B. Moore as “governor and commander-in-chief of the army and navy”.

Company commissions issued under provisions of an "Act to Provide for an Efficient Military Organization of the State of Alabama", approved Feb. 24, 1860.
