Gentlemen & Ladies,

I direct your attention to a post in another message board requesting info about a Capt. John White, Quatermaster of a 5th Alabama, whose diary is in the possession of the requestor:

Any thoughts as to which 5th Alabama he belonged? This is getting fun, so many seemed to have served with a 5th Alabama at one time or another. If only other C. W. message boards had such active participation as Alabama's!
