It's me again. I don't think this will be of much help, and you may have already covered this ground, but the only John M. Turner I find in an Al unit is with Co. D 1 Batt. Al Art. private. I do show a John C. (also listed John G.) with Co. W (strange Company designation)4(Roddey's) Al. Cav. Private.
Eight or nine John Turners with various Al units can be found, but not in the area you are searching.
