According to recent oral information from his granddaughter, my mother, Robert Samuel was living across the road from the Bucksville Baptist Church as a young boy. He was living in Potter's Camp, just SW of Jonesboro community, outside of Bessemer, AL when he died at age 80, in 1931.- Maybe he was part of a home-guard unit assigned to Tannehill. His mother was Aldephia Hall, a member of the Hall family that ran the old mill located there.
His older sister, Mary McDougal, married John Hall who owned the mill after the war.
