No one place designated for prisoners of war; you have to look at service records of individual soldiers in the 37th. Somewhere in the basemen I have a notebook with all the 37th Ala. service records from the National Archives broken out by company. If I can locate it, will that help? Here's summary information, including captains, on the two companies you mentioned:

Company “E” of Henry County “Henry Troops”

Jacob L. Skipper. Resigned due to illness on November 11, 1863.
Joel G. Greene. Promoted Captain [July 15,] 1864, to rank from April 6, 1864. Wounded and disabled at Atlanta, Georgia, July 28, 1864. Retired to the Invalid Corps [February 22,] 1865; captured [and paroled] at LaGrange, Georgia, April 17, 1865.
George H. Chatfield. Appointed Captain of consolidated Company “K” [April 9,] 1865. Surrendered at Greensboro, North Carolina, May 1, 1865.

This company organized at Woodville, Alabama, March 29, 1862, and mustered at Auburn, Alabama, May 2, 1862. Survivors surrendered with Company “B” of the consolidated 37th Alabama Infantry Regiment.

Company “G” of Chambers County “Wiche Jackson Blues”

Warner W. Meadors. Mortally wounded at Corinth, Mississippi, October 4, 1862.
