I can't remember exactly where I read this. It was either
in one of the limestone archives "limestone ledgers" that
comes out quarterly or "to lochnair na mair" a historical
athens book or "limestone county after appromatox". I will
try and find the exact publication and let you know. The
church is not in Mooresville where she lived. The church is
about 3 miles east of Athens and about 10 miles north of
Mooresville. I think the soldier I read about in this group
was a Sowell. The Sowell's lived near cambridge(still do)
lane. I think it might have been Thomas or Ben Sowell.
I have a friend who has a picture of him in an early war uniform and a picture of him in a suit with a colt navy in
his belt. I will try and locate his name and the article
this weekend.
