cowdog50th Al Inf.Sun Feb 11 14:14:09 2001 I do not know of a book about the 50th alabama. I wishsomeone would write one since I have about 10 ancestorsin this unit. Since three of the companies were mostly fromLimestone county, there are a lot of little stories and soldiers accounts that are printed in various local limestonecounty historical books. For more information you cancontact the Limestone county archives. The archives inlimestone county is pretty good. Most of what I have seenare individual accounts of different limestone countians in various old newspaper articles and historical papers. There was a soldier Liberty Independence Nixon of the50th that kept a diary. His descendent lives in the Clements community and still has his diary. I do not know much about Co. A though. Why doesn't someone out there write a history about them and I'll send what information I have to them.DeWayne Scott26th/50th Lee Hughes, Sun Feb 11 18:28 Alabama 26th-50th George Garmon, Sun Feb 11 20:01 26th/50th Alabama Stan Hutson, Mon Feb 19 00:19 26th/50th - limestone county cowdog, Sun Feb 11 21:14 26th/50th Casualties at Chickamauga Jim Martin, Sun Feb 11 21:12 Atlanta Casualties, 26th-50th Ken Jones, Tue Feb 13 14:13
