cowdog26th/50th - limestone countySun Feb 11 21:14:55 2001 I wish someone would write a book about them. They hada pretty good service record. When I said there isn't a source of info on them, I meant there isn't a consolidatedbook or reference. In Limestone County, where 3 of the companies that were in the 26th/50th were from, I canwalk down the street and point to different people that hadancestors in the 26th/50th. My schoolmates, inlaws, friends, and acquaintances all seemed to have ancestors. There just isn't anything put in one place. You can lookup old letters, diaries, and other material at the Limestonearchives and find a wealth of information about them andtheir relatives. We are mostly related here in limestone county. It is just no one has ever put it in a book. Thereare many good 'short stories' about every battle by different members. Maybe I will start digging out some of the storiesand putting them on this board one by one. It might helpsomeone out. I don't have them in any order though.DeWayne Scott
