ToddPickens Co. GuardsFri Sep 15 09:19:57 2000 I am trying to find out which Infantry unit the Pickens Guards were assigned to. What I have is an Obid. from a Pickens Co. News Paper. "Mr. J.L. Cottles, about 26, died in a hospital in Richmond, Va. 11/30/1861. He was a Private in the Pickens Co. Guards and served his country faithfully."I was told once that John L. Cottles Served in the 5th Ala. Infantry, Co. H. But This has not been proven. Thanks,ToddJohn Cottles Todd, Thu Sep 21 14:02 Cottles family researchers. Hayes Lowe, Mon Sep 18 10:42 J.L.
