The conflict I have is with a 1907 Census of Confederate Veterans Living in Jackson County (AL)that states he was captured at Chickamauga and his prisoner of war record that documents his capture a month later in his home county, Jackson. He was in Russells Co. G, 4th Ala Calvary and I am trying to determine why he would have been back near his home at that time.
