Hayes LoweParole of the 19th.Wed Dec 13 10:22:10 2000 My initial research (still researching) shows that the 19th Alabama Infantry was paroled as a recognized stand-alone unit at Salisbury, N.C. on May 1, 1865. This is found on Microfilm Number 0307, Roll 7, List 3 (Field, Staff and Band); MF# 0309, Roll 7, List 4 (Company A); and others (other companies). This particular listing of units paroled at Salisbury and Greensboro does not show the 37th, 40th, or 42nd being paroled there, but I think that my copy of the list is incomplete. Will double check.Parole of 37th. Hayes Lowe, Wed Dec 13 13:10 40TH and 46TH Ala. Inf.
