Searching for accounts of the skirmish / battle of McConnellsburg, Pa., June 29, 1863 in which Captain William D. Ervin and 30 plus of his men were taken prisoner. Two were killed. Erving belonged to Imboden's 18th Virginia Cavalry, Company G.
