Scott for 12 months, appointed 4th Sergeant October 31, 1861, transferred to Company A, June 1, 1862, last recorded on July 1, 1862 as absent sick, no further record

Note: He must have been dropped from the rolls sometime before November, 1862 as his name does not appear on the next bi-monthly Nov. & Dec., 1862 muster roll. This could have been for any number of reasons, death, capture, desertion, discharge, missing, etc.

His file records correspondence from the Adjutant General, War Department with Mrs. David M. Sherman, 704 Seventh Avenue, Albany, Georgia dated November 2, 1951
