Archibald and William were brothers. Achibald is my ggg. He grew up is the Harpers Ferry area and worked in the mills there with his father who later bought land and became a farmer. Archibald after the war, either owned his own mill or ran it for some one else, But the mill was destroyed in the flood of 1870. He had one son who was born in cave (as family stories tell) in 1864, hiding from the war. His Mother died in childbirth. We are trying to find out where Archibald was at the time. If he was attached to the wool mills, Which ones and what were his duties there.
