Thank you, Johnny Reb for your info on 5th Va. My gggrand enlisted in this outfit from NC while in Danville, Va. His name is Thomas Thompson Watlington and was reported to have been wounded somewhere in Northern Virginia in 1863. He supposedly died while on a march from Farquirer County to Culpeper Va. I have been searching for a long time trying to locate more info on him, both his background while living and where he was buried. I have a copy of his wife's widows pention which shows his death as April 3, 1863. Can anyone help me with any info on him? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
