I'm showing two John P. Walker's but no John Elliott Walker.

Co E - Capt Samuel Foker Chapman's Co; organized July 28, 1864; formerly Co E, 43rd Bn Va Cav Partisan Rangers

Name: John P. Walker
Side: Confederate
Regiment State/Origin: Virginia
Regiment Name: 39 Virginia Infantry
Regiment Name Expanded: 39th Regiment, Virginia Infantry
COMPANY: I
Rank In: Corporal
Rank In Expanded: Corporal
Rank Out: Corporal
Rank Out Expanded: Corporal
Film Number: M382 roll 57

Co I - Capt Nathaniel J.W. LeCato's Co [Cavalry]; enlisted Sept 11, 1861, for three years; disbanded per S.O. No. 20, A&IGO, dated January 25, 1862

It is very possible that he served in the 39th Va Inf {Cav unit] and then in Mosby's unit after January 1862.

I am guessing that he is probably the son of Lorenzo D. and Elizabeth A. Walker of Fauquier County, Virginia, born about 1847.
