John Elliott Walker shows up in the VMI data base as a sometime student. It indicates unofficial military record with 43rd VA Cav (Mosby's Rangers) and captured 5/20/1864 with Louden's Company. Taken to Old Capital Prison in DC and then to Ft. Delaware, later exchanged. Any online data base for pow lists for these two prisions? Still trying to find an official record of service so a Vet. Admin. headstone can be obtained for this soldier.
