Slave Schedules - actually a listing of slave owners and how many slaves they had and what their ages were.

In 1850, David B. Harris of Goochland, Virginia owned 40 slaves ranging in age from a few months to 87 years; 12 were female and 28 were male, indicating a farming or semi-plantation system; 14 children were under age 10, 6 female and 8 males.

In 1860, David B. Harris of Goochland, Virginia owned 59 slaves ranging in age from 4 yrs to 70 years;16 were female and 43 were male - 9 children were under age 10; 4 were female and 6 were male.

As for the "Colonel" -- it might have been a 'Honorarium' from one or more pre-war social organizations, as in "Southern Colonel" -- or he might have been a Colonel in the pre-war militias.
