Thank you for your answer to my inquiry about John Elliot Walker of Mosby's Rangers. I took your advice about someone writing the name down wrong. I went to the "Mosby's Rangers" web site looking for a roster. No roster was given. I next went to the regimental website for the 43rd Virginia Cavalry. On the roster, under Company E. I found the name you gave me, John P.(Pendelton)Walker, Pvt. The name on the roster just above John Pendelton Walker was John Elliot Walker!! With your help, I found him. Now we will seek his official service records so that we can get a Vets Adminstration CSA headstone to place on his unmarked grave. This is another success for the efforts of the UDC and SCV here in Phoenix.
