Released on Oath of Allegiance from Ft. Monroe, Va., Nov. 5th, 1863. Res. Richmond, Va. Complexion light, hair light, eyes blue, height 5 ft. 11 3/4 in. Remarks: Rebel Deserter came into our lines near Strasburg, Va.

His records, commingled with two others, contains this intelligence:

Edgar D. Boone, 19, Private, Company F (Orleans Light Guard), 1st (Nelligan’s) Louisiana Infantry, enlisted April 28,1861 at New Orleans by Capt. Gault for 1 year, present at the battle of Seven Pines May 30-31, 1862, deserted June 12, 1862, description on enlistment, Married 19 year old Seaman, born in England, no other records
