November 22, 1864, gunshot wound, recorded on December 12 as deserted,** captured at High Bridge April 6, 1865, sent to Point Lookout, Md. prison, arrived at City Point, Va. April 14, released June 15, 1865, resident of Brunswick County, Va., fair complexion, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, 5’ 11-1/2”

* This company was successively designated as Captain Fletcher’s Company, Mississippi Volunteers, and as Captain Fletcher’s Company, (Old) Company D, and (New) Company I, 13th Regiment Mississippi Infantry

** There are no further Company I muster rolls on record. He undoubtedly returned as he was captured at High Bridge, Sailor’s Creek April 6 along with his regiment
