The 33rd (also known as Duff’s) Regiment Texas Cavalry first organized as the 14th Battalion, Texas Cavalry (also called Duff’s Battalion Partisan Rangers), November 22, 1862, and increased to a regiment about May 2, 1863, by the addition of independent companies. (1st) Companies H and I were transferred to Col. Satos Benavides’ Regiment Texas Cavalry about May 25, 1864, and (2nd) Companies H and I were assigned about July, 1864

Note, these records contain no individual company muster rolls, thus, enlistment and other personal data are not to be found
