Samuel S. Weatherly

Residence was not listed;
Enlisted as a Private (date unknown).

He also had service in:
"I" Co. TX 5th Infantry

Compiled Military Service Records at Fold 3 stated Private Samuel S. Weatherly was mustered into service on March 28, 1862 at age 28 in Independence, Texas (Located in Washington County, Texas) in Company I of the 5th Texas Infantry.

A physical description was made upon his enlistment. Blue eyes; Dark hair; Fair complexion; Five foot ten inches in height. And he did receive a $50.00 bounty for enlisting and signed his name as Samuel S. Weatherly.

A company muster roll stated he died on March 25, 1863 at Lynchburg, Virginia. However hospital records indicated he died in January 1863.
