I have a widow's pension application for a soldier who according to this pension served with Co C, 31st Texas Cavalry, General Gano's Brigade, SB Maxey's Division. I have been unable to find any information on this company. Did it exist or is it some sort of a combination of groups? The application was made in 1931 so many years had passed plus the widow married the soldier in 1875 so she didn't even have first hand knowledge of his service. Thank you.
