Lt. McCord's men killed thirty-eight men, 1860

Don Bowman,
.
Thank you for your thoughtful response to my query about W.F. 'Matt' Guthrie's 1929 "Reminiscences of Texas Ranger Guthrie" that I attempted to outline on my web page, cited below. I accept your assertion, but I would like to know your thoughts about the document (text below) that I just posted in the upper right-hand corner of my web page:

I am following the "W.F. Guthrie" lead because Joseph Carroll McConnell mentioned him in his highly acclaimed 1939 book: ThE WEST TEXAS FRONTIER OR A DESCRIPTIVE HISTORY OF EARLY TIMES IN WESTERN TEXAS, Volumes I (1933) and II (1939), in which he was supposed to have interviewed 520 people. I have proven that McConnell was wrong about "H.G. Neathery" who represented himself as being the son of "R.M. Neathery," who was killed in the Oct. 1864 Battle of Elm Creek. By he way, I own the McConnell's 1939 book.
.
I look forward to your response.
