Co K, Benavides Reg't, Texas Cav

In researching my family history, I received a copy of "Roll Of Prisoners of War" of Benavides' Regiment Texas Cav., Confederate States Army, commanded by Colonel Santos Benavides, surrendered at New Orleans, La., by General E.D. Smith, C.S.C., to Maj. Gen E.R.S. Canby, U.S.A., May 26, 1865, and paroled at (date and place not stated.) This relative 's name is I.N. Adair and is listed as a Pvt., Co K, Benavides' Reg't Texas Cav., with Laredo listed as his residence. I cannot find any other mention of this company and very little on Benavides Regiment. Does anyone have any more info on this subject.

Also it says " See also David F. Adair, 2nd Co. B. 35 Texas Cav. Sept 17, 1862. Any information on these people or these regiments, etc. would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
