Thanks for your response. Gano's Squadron, Texas Cavalry was raised in Dallas and Tarrant Counties. The two companies later became Companies A and B of the 7th Kentucky Cavalry. This regiment did serve in Tennessee including the McMinnville area. It is possible that Henry C. Scott of Dallas County could have served in the 7th Kentucky Cavalry and been killed at McMinnville in 1863. Unfortunately, there are only a few muster rolls for this unit and Henry C. Scott does not have a service record.
