Many thanks, Bob. What I'm trying to do is to settle my mind concerning Patti's having gotten an official appointment as one of the authorized thirty signal sergeants (having been earlier on detail to the Signal Corps as a private or "lance sergeant," but being transferred out of area when captured, which suggested "new" status). If there's anything about his rank in that regard, I would be most interested. Not aware of the Captain giving the talk or his relationship with Patti, but thought perhaps more than the usual about his music and family. If the talk is unpublished, might you be able to check content?
