Your e-mail made me curious. I just looked at the 1860 and 1870 census for Edward and E.J. Sanders, but I could find no one who just stuck out as a good match. I also found and skimmed "With Walker in Nicuragua," which certainly is an interesting read. I was acquanted with Walker to a slight degree before, so I knew who you were talking about.

Are you sure these are the same two Sanders? I would like to revise my own family history of the 17th Tennessee to reflect the comander's history.
