New 16th Tennessee Book

Gents,

Just finished the first volume of a three volume series on the Sixteenth Tennessee Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Volume I is subtitled "We Were Spoiling for a Fight" and covers the first Sixteen months of the war. It includes their organization, and actions in Western Virginia, the South Carolina Coast and Corinth. Volume II will be out by the end of this summer and cover the second sixteen month period of their service (Sept. 1862 - Dec. 1863). It includes Perryville, Murfreesboro, the Tullahoma Campaign, Chickamauga and Missionary Ridge. Volume III should be out by early 2012, and cover Jan. 1864 to then end of the war. It includes Dalton, the Atlanta Campaign, Marietta, Kennesaw, July 20 and 22 at Atlanta, Jonesboro, Franklin and Nashville including the retreat to Meridian and finally Bentonville, the surrender and their return home.

Check out the link. This is no ordinary regimental history.

Thanks,

Jamie Gillum
