I have a collateral ancestor who died June 23, 1862 and is buried in the National Cemetery in Shiloh. I haven't been able to find information regarding a battle on that date. Can someone help me out? Obviously I'm missing something (perhaps he was wounded earlier and died that day or died of disease). His name is Henry Milton Swift and he enlisted in the 11th Iowa Infantry in 1861. Thanks, Allen
