My question is: My g-grandfather died in the Columbia Mississippi Hospital, would there be a medical report as to the cause of
death? He was in the 34th Infrantry, 54th and as the regiments got smaller they would put the men in other regiments. He was always
in the "I" C. He was with Nixon from Lawrence County Tn where he enlisted in the Confederate Army. He was in the hospital about 15 May
1861-April 15 1862 where he died. I would like to know cause of death if possible.
