Re: Civil War/Fratricedal War?

Mr. Harmon,

Fratricide as defined by Webster's Dictionary is:

1 : one that murders or kills his or her own brother or sister or an individual (as a countryman) having a relationship like that of a brother or sister
2 : the act of a fratricide
— frat·ri·cid·al

Here is what the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors system says about these guys.

Reese, Caleb

44th Consolidated Regiment, Tennessee Infantry (CS)

10th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment (US)

Reese, Peter

Not sure what units but none for Tennessee. There are eleven Peter Reese's but most are north eastern states.

Reese, Alfred

Neal's 16th Tennessee Cavalry Battalion (CS)

4th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment (US)

Reese, Johnathan

No entries as Johnathan but 198 entries as John.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Respectfully,

Gerald D. Hodge, Jr.
