Civil War/Fratricedal War?

In a Greeneville Herald newspaper interview in Greeneville, Tn. on March 30, 1882, Mary Ottinger Reese, widow of a John Reese, made the statement that "four of her sons, Caleb Reese, Peter Reese, Alfred Reese and Johnathan Reese" all died in the "late Fratricedal War". I have never heard of this phrase before. Is war the same as the Civil War? If so, what outfits did these brothers serve with?
