Searching for possible burial location for the brother of my GG Grandfather. William John Kirkland was taken prisoner by the Union on Oct 29, 1862 at Richmond, KY and was sent to a Prison in MD. In Feb 1863 he was exchanged and returned to a "Hospital" in Strawberry Plains, TN where he died on March 23, 1863 of pneumonia.

Does anyone have any idea where the Confederate Dead were buried during this time?
