Thank you sir ! I've read "War At Every Door." I'm a native and life-long resident of Sullivan County in upper east Tennessee. I had numerous ancestors / relatives on both sides, some families with mixed loyalties. Along with the William Land I mentioned, I had a couple of others that changed sides. It really was "brother against brother, father against son," in east Tennessee.
